Applications:

1. 808nm hair removal vcsel laser stack is a new technology that uses vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) to achieve fast and effective hair removal.
2. VCSELs are semiconductor lasers that emit light perpendicular to the surface of the chip, rather than parallel to it as in conventional edge-emitting lasers.
3. This allows them to be stacked vertically to form high-power laser modules with small size and high efficiency.

• The production of VCSELs has several advantages over the production process for edge emitting lasers.
• The edge emitter cannot be tested until the end of the production process. If the edge emitter does not function properly, either due to poor contact or poor material growth, production time and process material is wasted.
• However, VCSELs can be tested at multiple stages throughout the process to check for material quality and processing issues. In addition, because VCSELs emit a beam perpendicular to the active zone of the laser, rather than parallel to the active zone as is the case with edge emitters, tens of thousands of VCSELs can be processed simultaneously on three-inch GaAs wafers.
• As a result, although the VCSEL production process requires more labor and materials, yields can be controlled at a much more predictable and high level of productivity!
