The DFB laser (Distributed Feedback Laser) is a semiconductor laser developed based on the FP (Fabry-Pérot) laser. Its main feature is the formation of a mode-selective structure by integrating a Bragg grating (FBG) in the active layer, thus realizing a single-mode output with high stability and narrow linewidth. DFB lasers are usually used in application scenarios that require high stability and long distance transmission, such as fiber optic communication, gas detection, optical metrology and other fields. It is able to maintain a stable output wavelength under different operating conditions, thanks to the design of its internal Bragg grating, which enables DFB lasers to maintain a stable wavelength output even when the temperature changes.
