Is there radiation when the fiber laser is working? The International Standard Classification is adopted by the scientific community all over the world. This is convenient for the uniformity of laser equipment security level and national trade. The classification is divided into: first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, divided into 4 grades in total.

The higher the classification level, the greater the risk. The laser level regulations must be marked on the laser system using Roman numerals. All regular laser products are generally affixed with a classification label. In addition to the graphic and text warnings, the label also contains the following information: wavelength, total output power, laser classification.

The following is the description of the four-level laser:

1. Security level: first level. Laser power: less than 0.5 milliwatts, safe laser, first-level laser will not cause harm to human health under normal use conditions, but such products must also be guaranteed to prevent workers from entering the laser radiation area during work design.

2. Security level: Class II. Laser power: 1 milliwatt. This level of laser has a low-power, visible laser. Humans can protect themselves by blinking and reflecting strong light, but long-term direct vision will bring danger. The secondary laser should be at the laser light exit Some warning signs are required.

3. Security level: three levels. The third level is divided into two types, 3a and 3b. The level 3a laser has a laser power of 1 milliwatt to 5 milliwatts. The level 3a laser is the same as the second level. A warning sign needs to be posted on the laser light outlet. The human eye only sees it for a short time, and the human eye will play a certain role in protecting the reflection of light. However, if the light spot enters the human eye while focusing, it will cause damage to the human eye.

Class 3b laser, laser power: 5 mW. Up to 500 mW, it may cause injury if you look directly or diffusely. Class 3b lasers are generally affixed with the "danger" sign. Although they are harmful to the eyes, if the light spot is not focused, the risk of fire or burns to the skin is less. However, it is still recommended to wear eye protection when using this level of laser.

4. Security level: four levels. Laser power: more than 500 milliwatts, this level of laser has great damage to eyes and skin, direct reflection and diffuse reflection will cause damage. All Class 4 laser equipment must be marked with "Danger". The fourth-level laser can also damage the materials near the laser and ignite flammable substances. When using this level of laser, it is also the same as the 3b level to wear eye protection.
