With the continuous development of medical technology, people's requirements for medical products are getting higher and higher. Since most medical products have a small overall size, they can only be applied to the market better and safer, and can only be achieved by bonding or welding techniques.
UV glue is commonly used to bond and seal medical devices that require very high quality and best reliability, such as in syringes, infusion tubes, endoscopes, endotracheal tubes, and the like. However, it is well known that medical UV glue is an adhesive that must be cured by ultraviolet light, so it will bring a lot of painful points to the company in production:
1. The glue smells big and it is difficult to recruit people;
2. High raw material cost, no low-cost solvent and filler, high adhesive price;
3. Ultraviolet light has weak penetrating power to certain plastic or translucent materials, and the curing depth is limited. The geometry of the curable product is limited, and the opaque parts and the dead angles that are not irradiated by ultraviolet light are not easily cured.
Nowadays, the appearance of plastic laser welding just makes up for this shortcoming. Plastic laser welding is more and more widely used in various fields of medical equipment due to its advantages of local heating, precision machining and non-contact heating.
