Laser hair removal involves the delivery of heat energy to the hair follicle, causing damage to the follicle and inhibiting future hair growth.
Suitable for People It is most effective for people with lighter skin tones and darker hair pigmentation. We use GentleMaxPro advanced technology to safely treat people with darker skin tones. Laser hair removal is less effective on people with light hair (i.e.: grey, blonde, white, red).
Where to use Any area with unwanted hair. Common areas on the face are the upper lip and chin. Body treatments can be performed on the underarms, back, forearms, legs, bikini line and Brazilian underarms.
How often should it be done Because hairs grow in different cycles. It is recommended to have at least 6-9 facial treatments at 4-6 week intervals and 6-8 week intervals for body treatments. Hair growth may need to be trimmed in the future as hormonal changes can affect hair growth.
Expected Results Depending on the area to be treated, a typical session lasts from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. A 10-15% reduction in hair growth can be expected after each treatment. There is mild to moderate discomfort and local anaesthesia is not usually required. Some skin irritation may occur for a day or two after treatment.
