The use of laser technology is becoming more and more popular.

Recently, the pipeline company's testing center used 3D laser scanning technology for the first time to test three pipelines in Tianjin Shihua Crude Oil Terminal to improve the accuracy of pipeline inspection and provide strong technical support for pipeline next-step operation and maintenance.

In the past, pipeline companies used conventional measurement methods such as ultrasound and magnetic powder to detect the size of pipeline defects. This type of inspection relied mainly on manual measurement, which was time-consuming and labor-intensive and less accurate. Using a 3D laser scanner to detect pipes, you can quickly acquire high-resolution, high-resolution 3D models. At the same time, the finite element software is used to calculate and analyze the stress distribution, residual strength and structural reliability of the established 3D model. Not only the detection accuracy is high, but also the work efficiency can be greatly improved.
